Woodbury Soccer Club

The Woodbury Soccer Club is pleased to announce two scholarships; $500 for a current / former female soccer player and $500 for a current / former male soccer player. The scholarship is for a graduating High School student, Freshman, or Sophomore attending an accredited college or university. A player will be awarded the scholarship only once.

Requirements:

·         Played a minimum of 4 years with the Woodbury Soccer Club; either recreational or competitive.

·         An accumulated minimal grade point average of 2.9

·         Attending an accredited college or university.

·         Must have participated as a coach or trainer for the WSC.

·         Applicant must submit an essay (2 pages, 500 words) describing how soccer has positively influenced them.

Scholarship Information:

·         Application must be completed in full and postmarked by June 30, 2010

·         Each application must be accompanied by two (2) letters of recommendation from a non-family adult such as a teacher or coach.

·         Family income, financial need, and/or college major are not determining factors for this scholarship.

·         Scholarship applies only the academic year in which it is awarded.

·         All applications will be review by the scholarship committee to ensure they are qualified and complete.
