Since 2008/09 all coaches in our competitive program need to meet the minimum qualification standard of an USSF “E” Certificate or equivalent playing licensing or qualifications to be a U9/U10 Coach. The minimum qualification standard to be a U11 and older coach in the Competitive Program is the USSF “D” License or equivalent licensing or qualifications.

Coaches who do not possess this qualification at time of selection will be given 6 months to make progress towards the appropriate level of qualification for their age group. New coaches will be given 1 year to obtain the minimum level of qualification appropriate to the age group they are working with.

Coaches who do not wish to obtain additional coaching education need not apply.

WSC will provide financial assistance for all coaches pursuing licensure.
