Community Spring Rec+

Overview

What is Community Rec+?

The Community Rec+ program will focus on player development and introduce families to events with clubs from other communities with an eye towards transitioning to our club’s Travel or Academy programs.

During the week, the Community Rec+ teams will train and compete as a Community Rec+ team. Teams will have a parent coach with support from Salvo SC staff.

On Fridays, the Community Rec+ players will be put into a large group mixing players together from the teams. There will be a 8U Boys training group, a 8U Girls training group, a 9U/10U Boys training group, and a 9U/10U Girls training group.

Community Rec+ programming also offers a few additional opportunities for our players to compete with other clubs.  Occasional travel to a local club is a possibility.

All games are at the same time and same place.  Rosters will be provided.

This program is for boys and girls 8U, 9U, and 10U.

There will be NO buddy request for Community Rec+ players.

The City of Woodbury makes the decision to close fields due to weather.

Additional Opportunities

U8 & U9/10 Community Rec+ Boys and Girls

During the Spring 2018 Community Rec+ season our teams will have 2-3 additional opportunities to play.  WSC will host a "Play Day" and we will plan to travel to another club for a similar event. These events are typically on the weekend. These events will be based on age group and may not all take place at the same venue.

When WSC hosts our "Play Day" we will mix all of our players and players from other clubs and play small sided games.  We use this format to allow our players to work and play with other players and to help our fans support the game of soccer.

There will be times periodically through the Summer that Community Rec+ players will be asked to guest play with our competitive program.  This invitation will come from the Director of Coaching with input from the Director of Youth Development, Community Rec + Coaches and our Club Trainers.  This opportunity will not be extended to every player, only those deemed deserving based upon performance at training and games.

Thank You For Being A Part Of Our Club!
