MYSA requires that background checks be conducted on its adult participants once per soccer year (Sept. 1 – Aug. 31). If an adult referee is also a team manager, coach, club administrator, etc. and therefore needs to complete the MYSA background check through their club, they need not do it a second time.
However, they do need to contact Candace to let her know that they have completed the process and through which club so she can look up their name through their club, confirm the information and add them to the list of referees that have completed the background check.
